Layout Question

I've created a layout for my lectionary & daily devotion but was wondering if there's any way to set it up so the current date is shown when the layout opens?  As it is, the date reflected is always that of the last layout update so I have to manually advance to the current readings.

Unfortunately, no. A saved layout in Logos is really like a "snapshot" in time of resources, rather than a "design pattern." [:S]

Peace, Greg!         I don't think it can be done.  I'll be watching this thread to see if someone else has a good idea; however, personally, I don't think it's possible.

I don't go to my HomePage often; but the one area in which I DO, is to view my lectionary and various daily devotions.  I have about 1/2 dozen calendar devotionals highly prioritised, including a PB devotion which I compiled myself from favourite excerpts and anecdotes.

(BTW, I see you "ride"!                    May God keep you safe and well!  I'm an old retired pastor, but still ride my 400 cc Suzuki Burgman which I will get out maybe this week as Spring seems to be happening here in Eastern Canada.)

One idea: create a layout with various lectionary and daily devotionals.  Link them.  Save layout.

    • Daily: Open layout.  Click Home Page.  Click a devotional.  Date is sent to linked resources so all advance to current date

Opening layout could be assigned to a Favorites key stroke and/or shortcut.

On Windows, the layout opening and date navigation could probably be done using COM API => http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_4_COM_API

Peace, Keep Smiling!           *smile*                    Thanks so very much indeed for using your "brain power" to benefit your Forum Brothers and Sisters!  It's a truly "interesting" approach, and it will be exciting to try!    It's getting a bit "late" for me on this day; but very soon I will try out your ideas!                  *smile*

I appreciate the reply.  It was 80F here in Tidewater Virginia yesterday so I spent some time on the bike (2006 H-D FXDI35).  Hope you get some nice riding weather up your way!
