I have questions before purchasing this.
At the church we have a Mac. At home it's a PC. Will I be able to do things from home and they work when I get to church?
Hi - and welcome to the forums
This should all work fine so long as you are careful about "commonalities". Some people have experienced problems with using filenames for video clips (for example) which are valid filenames in one OS and that then are not recognised on the other. Outside of that sort of issue I think you should be ok.
You might want to try downloading the software (http://proclaimonline.com/app/download.aspx?) and experimenting with it before purchasing it.
It is available for free download - and includes all the features - the only difference is that a "trial watermark" is displayed on the projector when projecting the presentation. So you wouldn't want to "go live" with that but is fine for checking that everything works.
Hope this helps

Thank you. I downloaded it last night at church but didn't want to do anything else without checking first. Didn't want to crash any computers. One other question: I have gathered that is is an internet based program and we will have to connect each Sunday to use. Our internet speed is very slow. We are in a rural area and don't have any other options. Do I understand correctly how this system works. I'm not very techy, I only can run the programs.

It is designed to operate in a collaborative fashion over the Internet - but can be used in a service without any Internet connection with some limitations.
So people can collaboratively work on a shared version of a presentation in "the cloud" during the week and then this can be synchronised to your church computer before you start your service. So long as you leave enough time to synchronise before the service you should be ok.
If, however, you bring a computer to church with the synchronised service already on it you can run the presentation without any Internet connection at all.
Some things, however, do require Internet connection:
So, the basic functionality will run even in the absence of an Internet connection once you have the finalised service synchronised to your projecting computer but some additional features will not be available.
Hope this helps to clarify the situation
Great, Thank you so much. I have done some stuff on my PC and will go to church tonight to see if it work

If there are any problems please post back and we will try and help.
This is how we use it, too. Two people using PCs, and one using a Mac. It works just fine and has for over a year. The only caveat we have found is with video playback. The Mac will not play .wmv videos and the PCs won't play .mov videos. So our solution has been to always use .mpg files. Other than that, we've had no problems.
Thank you. I built something today with the PC then when to church tonight and anything that had a motion background would not work, it was just black. I was ready to buy this but now not so sure, I was disappointed.
I built a presentation sample on the PC today with some motion backgrounds from Graceway but when I got to church tonight everything worked except anything I had put a motion background in. The Welcome splash slide did not work either. I was very disappointed. Is the a solution or did I do something wrong. Announcement slides I created worked fine.
Sorry you are experiencing difficulties.
I regularly use my pic to create, and then use the Mac at church to do the presentation in the services. I also use backgrounds from Graceway. I have not had the blank screens you are talking about.
I would double check all of the settings, to be site that your Great license is on both machines. Also, did you download the backgrounds on your PC to use in the presentation? If so, did you upload them in proclaim? Those are my only ideas of what you can check.
Yes, I saved it in my media folder on my PC. Then when I went to put it in Proclaim I told it to upload and sync to my group. I have not loaded my license passwords because I am just testing thes out before purchase. You think that is the problem?
If your video is in pc format (wmv) it will not work properly on your Mac at the church. If you are using a Mac at the church it must be a .mov. All you will get is a blank screen. I had the same problem. Just use real player or some other program to convert the video to mov and it should work.
