Bug, Force quit required often and freezes when switching btwn saved layouts

Hey everyone, 

Third times a charm...I hope.  

Problems listed:

1) I am required to force quit logos about 75% of the time when shutting down my macbook.

2) I leave it on (overnight) and in sleep mode sometimes to prevent #1 but then the reading plan isn't up to date.  I also don't think it would get any updates that might be needed?

3) When I try to switch between saved layouts it freezes (spinning rainbow)

Does this need to occur for the behavior to persist?

Does this happen with all layouts? Are the layout(s) you're switching to very complicated? Can you take a screen shot of the layout,and give us the information you see under the Apple menu>"About this Mac>More Info"? I'd like the date under the type of the computer (eg. my Mac mini is MId 2010), processor, memory, and graphics.
