Passage guide running slow (MacBook Pro/XP/Fusion)

I'm running Logos 4 on a MacBook Pro utilizing VMFusion and Windows XP. Everything was great until yesterday. The program is now running very sluggish. It is taking the Passage Guide almost 10-15 minutes to calculate. It freezes after listing the first 5 or 6 commentaries and when it begins again, the Handout appears twice. Of course I have my first Logos presentation in the morning to a group of ministers who are very interested in the software. I scheduled and agreed to the presentation before knowing about 4.0 being released.

Do you have any suggestions regarding what I should check out in an attempt to solve the problem? I ran AVG Free 9.0 to determine if I had any viruses and none were found.

Thoughts? Thank you in advance for your help

I am running Logos 4 om my macbook using Fusion/winXP. It is running quite well. I gave winXP 2Gb of memory.

This was on the forums some time ago:

In your VM machine settings, switch off graphics acceleration. Also, if you can allocate it, give your machine 2GB of RAM.

Then, in you Windows video settings, go turn graphics acceleration
under the trouble shooting tab of your video settings all the way down
one notch above "off".

Hopefully this will help. If you can afford it, the upgrade to
VMware 3.0 is even faster, particularly with newly created virtual
machines, though many on here have reported good results with VMware
2.0.

When this is not working why not using the 'old' Logos 3 for your presentation. Would be the safest way, I guess.

I think this is a Fusion Question ... What version of Fusion you are running on? I suppose you just upgrade to 3.0.1 yesterday, read the Update Notes ...

Hope it helps ... I am testing L3 and L4 on 3 VMs: Windows XP Pro, Windows 7, Windows 7 x64 .... looks OK and faster, but not as fast as Fusion has claimed for the 3.0.1 update.

McAfee can be a bit of a dog too when it comes to resources. I have been using AVG until now, but am going to go looking at MSE and Panda to see if they are more lightweight in resource usage than AVG.
