What have been your experience using Logos for Android?
What have your experience experience using Logos with Android?
I ask this because my android's battery last about half day and no more, I wonder if any of you have the same issue with the phone when using Logos for Android.
Thanks,
CP

I have my Android charged up before Sunday morning church, and the display is on for the entirety of Sunday school as well as the morning sermon. Then I go home and recharge (although I probably don't have to do so), and the display is on for the entirety of the evening sermon.
So no real problems.
But this may not be a Logos issue as much as it is a battery issue. I'm using a Galaxy Note 2 now, and it has an ample battery. Previously I had a ThunderBolt, and I was always afraid the battery would run out.

My Galaxy Note 2 has been on since 0400, and at 2212, I have 60% battery remaining. Used Logos about 6 times. Very few calls.
I haven't been using my Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 today, however, usually I can run that all day without battery issues. The granddaughter has taken over the tablet, so I don't use it much anymore. She has even renamed the tablet to something called a pearpod. [:)]

Logos disables the screen timeout in reading view and the screen accounts for 60% of the battery usage, whilst standby & idle is about 20%. So you get half a day with screen on instead of roughly 1.5 days.

To see what's using your battery, go to Settings | Battery.
If it's mostly screen, and the screen's on all the time (as it is when in Logos), half a day wouldn't be surprising.
If it's not primarily the screen, uninstall anything you don't really need. For example, some battery monitoring apps pull ads through, so they are actually wasting battery (and of course they are running all the time).
If we are talking a cellular device, an old Android trick is to switch into flight mode, and then power the phone down. Wait a minute, and restart. After the boot has completed (including any time needed to handle USB memory), turn flight mode off. See if that helps.
