Community Pricing: Hymnlogy Collection
This looks like it would be a good title to have http://www.logos.com/product/30280/hymnology-collection . It could be great for the historian, the preacher, and for a worship leader. It's 4 volumes and over 2700 pages. It's nearly £6.55 pounds now and under the 80% line. Please put a bid in today if you haven't already and let's get this book under development. I don't think you can really go wrong at this price.

I have John Julian’s Dictionary of Hymnology in hard cover. I heard about it when I took a class on the history of hymns, and went online to find myself a used edition. It is an excellent resource, and I would love to have it in Logos. That alone is worth way more than what this whole CP collection is going for. I paid $104.62 for a used copy of it (including shipping) in 2002. It's still going for roughly that much (less for a print-on-demand paperback) and that gets you an old ex-library copy or something. Having it in digital format would be so much better.
So, $10 for that plus Biography of Gospel Song and Hymn Writers and The Hymns and Hymn Writers of the Church - who wouldn't spring for it? It's a no brainer.

The sample pages of The Hymns and Hymn Writers of the Church do show hymn lyrics. I have the Dictionary of Hymnology, and it's a reference work about the study of hymns (background, meters, hymn writers, history of hymn writing in different countries, etc.); doesn't have any lyrics as I recall, but I don't know what box that 2-vol. set is in right now from my last move, so I can't check.
