It would be useful to be able to have multiple Collection lists open simultaneously e.g. an all commentaries not yet classified collection and e.g. the technical commentary collection.
I agree with MJ on this one. It would be nice to have multiple Collection panes open. On the other hand...I send all of my new books into a collection that I've entitled "0 Star Resources." When I buy (or make) a new book, they immediately go into my "0 Star" collection and then I open my library in a new pane and from there determine my "star" ranking and which other collections that particular book might fit into (and because of the dynamic filtering it automatically gets filed into the usual collection(s)). After I get that book sorted and rated, then I go to the next book in my "0 Star" collection and do the same thing for each subsequent book. My formula or rule for creating the "0 Star Resources" is very simple: "myrating:0"...that catches everything until it has been given a rating.
I agree with the suggestion.
Workaround: you can use the library pane to display the contents of a separate collection from the collections pane, which allows you to do what you described, I believe.

I've never understood why there is no Open A Copy In A New Tab for Library and Collections.
Plus I want to be able to use the dropdown Library even though I happen to have a Library tab open.
