Any way to Remove the "tick" marks on the Scroll Bar?

I use the NIV bible a lot and now there are so many "tick marks" that I have to be careful when I just want to click somewhere to move up or down my Bible a "page".  Is there any way to clear these marks and start all over? I have version SR-7 (4.0.3.3272).  Thanks.

it's currently available in the beta releases, all of which will be in the next official release. so, the only way to get it now is to use the beta (although probably not advised if you don't want to mess with buggy software)
