If I refresh a guide after editing it (and closing the edit screen) I would expect that refreshing a guide window would bring in the new settings. It doesn't (and this makes testing new guides a pain).
Is this problem because there is no saving of changes unless you Close the template, so that you want to make a change and keep the template open?
NB. It may not be a bug[:)], and you have time to change your title.
When you edit the PG, the editing screen opens in a new tab/panel. The existing PG remains open. If I make changes to the template, then save those changes, then refresh the template, the PG should update according to the new settings. That's not desired behaviour, that's expected behaviour. Isn't it?
My concern was whether you wanted/expected the template to remain open after editing. The Help makes no mention of closing the template after editing eg.
5. Click on the x in a section on the right to remove it from the template.6. The newly edited guide will be available from Guides drop-down under Custom Bible Study Guides.Logos Research Systems, I. (2009; 2009). Logos 4 Help. Logos Research Systems, Inc.; Bellingham, WA.
So I removed a section as per step 5. and found the new template available as per Step 6. I didn't have to close the template.
Further, Revert to Template reflected the change I had made ie. the section was removed (or added). I didn't have to close the template!
Refresh Guide would then seem to reflect non-template changes eg. restoring a commentary you had removed (X) from Commentaries.
