I suppose my real answer is cheaper... for what I'll use a tablet for (including Logos), the Kindle HD works fine & I can't justify a cost difference.

For the heavy lifting of preparing a weekly sermon manuscript & weekly Bible studies, I can't get away from a keyboard & monitor. That relegates tablet need to a much lesser h/w for:

    • Logos - checking references during a devotional
    • email - quick browse of ALL accounts (pop3 + web mail) & quick response (up to about a line--after which it's less time & effort to fire up the i7 notebook laptop)
    • social media - likes & short posts
    • etc.

Note the emphasis on uses that require only browsing and/or a LITTLE typing... that's all I'm finding the tablet form factor to be really useful for. CAN you do more? Yes. But I'm TIME limited more than anything else, so I gravitate toward using whatever computer is fastest for a given task. (I often still use my phone instead of the tablet, because it's lighter.)

    Hope this is helpful...

    Grace & Peace,
    Bill

I'm not waiting for anything. I Have a Desktop Computer, a notebook computer with Libronix 3 and an Android Tablet. What else do I need?

The Android tablet has shown me that A) touchscreen is inferior to keyboard and mouse and B) trying to tap on things on a screen that are smaller than your finger is an exercise in futility.

P.S. - Rumor has it that sales of Windows 8 have been so bad for the PC industry that the first service pack could bring back the Start Menu and the desktop [H] - Told ya so [H]

John, thanks for your port.  I am waiting but find I am eager still to purchase something that will give me full Logos 5 functionality, longer battery life, and easy highlighting.  I would like to be an asset and a help at Bible Study and find it a challenge with my android Nexus 7 or Phone.
