Quick question, a friend has bought the WBC 59 Volume CDRom for me as a present, and it comes in the Libronix format.

Before i open it im trying to work out whether i can transfer the licence for the WBC 59 volumes over to Logos 5.

This page http://wiki.logos.com/Installing_Libronix_Books seems to say that you can, although its Logos 4 only. But ive come across a few forum posts which say thats you can't. Having a Windows install to do the initial licence transfer is no problem, as my Mac is bootcamped for those times that i absolutely need Windows.

Mainly after confirmation that you can transfer Libronix3 licences over to Logos 5, if you cant ill have to return the CD to the shop.

Yes, you can transfer Libronix licenses over to Logos 5. That wiki page probably hasn't been updated for Logos 5, but it's basically the same core engine as Logos 4 with some new features added. In other words, licenses work the same way in 4 and 5, unlike the change from Libronix to Logos 4 which was a whole paradigm shift.

Chris, if the resource was never installed and previously activated, the simplest approach is to call Logos and ask them to activate it on your Logos account (you'll need the unlock code for this). The next time you open Logos 5 it should recognize your license and download all the volumes for you (you'll want the newest Logos editions).

Thanks Rosie and Mark. Unfortunately calling up can be a bit of a pain being in Australia, just makes it harder than going through the Libronix process.

Ill give it a whirl and see how it goes.
