I apologize that I can't identify the precise senario that is driving me nuts (as if I could tell). I put shortcuts to other software on my shortcut bar. When I test them they all work. And they seem to work - or at least some of them work - for a few days. But after a few days most of them die. This time none of the eight work.
In L3 I had the same set of shortcuts to external software and never had a problem so I am finding this very frustrating - more so since I'd have to test all 8 every time I powered up to determine the exact conditions so you could solve the problem.
