Logos 5 on mac after latest update stuck on "preparing library"

I have Logos 5 for the mac installed. I did an update a couple of days ago and now it will go through the signing in window and then get stuck on "Preparing Your Library: This may take a while"

I left it overnight and there was no movement past this window.

I have attached what I think is my latest error log.

Evan - Welcome to the forums. Sorry you are having troubles. [:S]

I don't know if you single error log is going to be enough to diagnose the issue. It would be good if you could enable logging and post new logs. Please follow the appropriate link in my signature line to learn more.

Since you aren't advancing past "preparing library," perhaps you should allow it to run for 10 minutes or so and then do a force quit if needed.

We need the Indexer log that goes with the Logos log. Exit Logos and abort/kill/stop the Indexer process if necessary. Ensure logging is enabled and then restart Logos. Preparing can take one hour or more At intervals of 30 minutes or so upload copies of the Indexer log + Logos log.

good news. After the third time restarting the computer and doing some cleaning with Onyx it opens now.

I have had this same problem on my Windows 7 laptop. It occurred last night and again this morning.

I cleared it by closing the "Preparing Your Library" window by using the 'X' in the upper left corner. After that Logos would not give any indication of starting via a double-click on the icon.

I opened up my Windows task manager (CTRL-ALT-DEL). Task manager reported Logos and a Logos indexer running, but using no, or at least very little, CPU. I terminated the Logos process which also killed the indexing process.

At that point Logos would start normally.

I'm documenting this in case someone visits this thread looking for a solution. That is why I was here earlier.
