Bug - Highlights not syncing at all, and Notes sometimes not syncing

Hello,

Please help. The yellow triangle has been showing up for some time now.

I use logos on a Mac and an iPhone 4S. Notes made on Mac sync fine with iPhone; but Notes made on iPhone do not sync with Mac. Highlights do not sync at all, irrespective of where they are created.

I have attached the relevant log.

Good job posting the Logs. Sorry you are having troubles. I am only quarter techie, and don't know if I will find a solution for you... your logs are full of syncing errors, so hopefully a solution will be found soon by a techie. In the meantime, I have a dentist appointment. Ouch. [:|]

I've looked a couple more times at your logs hoping that something would catch my eye... but no luck. There are many warnings about "Not syncing client due to previous fatal error," but I have no idea what to tell you to remedy the situation. Hopefully, there is some .db file that you can delete and have Logos rebuild which will "magically" fix everything... but unless the logs tell me there is a corrupt data base file, I dont know what to instruct you to do.

If you had been on L5, this probably would have been answered by now... It's like a ghost town in this forum. [:S]

which looks as though it could be relevant to your problem.

It appears that Logos is trying to synchronise notes information and finding that it is trying to create something which already "exists" (has the same key)

But there's nothing in the log (which I can see) indicating which note document is causing the issue

Hi Ryan,

It looks like this is the same problem a number of Windows users have reported, as well as an error in syncing notes. Please see Bradley's post here: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/69793/485008.aspx#485008

If you've created a bunch of notes since noticing the sync error then you may want to copy out, or export, those notes and follow Bradley's "nuclear" plan. Please note his warning. If you have not made any changes to notes since then you are probably safe in following Bradley's advice.

The other option is waiting for us to get the bug fixed. I've contacted Bradley to see if this is a known issue in 4.6 as it seems to be in 5.0.

Here is how the problem was solved:

Mike Bryant from customer services recommended that I rename the documents folder in logos to 'Documentsold' so that Logos wouldn't recognize it and would re-sync from the server.

I was afraid though that I might lose some notes so what I did last night was look through my biggest note document looking for big entries that I didn't want to risk losing. What I found as a result was an entry that had duplicated itself over twenty times. I deleted that entry, and all its copies, and syncing and highlighting was fixed immediately. I tested it thoroughly.

BUT...the yellow triangle was still there. So I followed Mike's advice, renamed the Documents folder, restarted logos, and that fixed the problem.
