Where are my notes stored in "Come and See: Catholic Bible Study Collection"?

I just got the "Come and See: Catholic Bible Study Collection."

In it, there are questions followed by a box where you can type your answers.

I'm not familiar with this feature in other Logos resources, so I'm wondering if there is a document where everything I type in the boxes is stored.

Any help?

Thanks in advance.

Apparently, such a text box also exists in Grasping God's Word by Duvall and Hays:

I've just tested it. Your answers in those boxes go in ...{Logos folder}\Documents\{random.folder.name}\UserInputs\UserInputs2.db.

Thanks, Rosie. I found that file.

I wasn't sure how to open it, so I used Notepad and did see what I wrote buried within a lot of indiscernible text (maybe there is a better choice than Notepad).

However, is there any way to manage those notes in a more user-friendly manner, such as within Logos itself?

And what if, for example, I wanted to export everything I wrote in those boxes into a Word file?

    Thanks again!

The .db file isn't really supposed to be opened an read… it is just where the information is kept.

    Unfortunately, no.

Quick thought… Have you tried exporting part of the book? I wonder if the user edited text would follow the resource text… Worth a try. [;)]

Great idea, but I didn't have any luck with it. Someone else might want to try and see if they can get a different result.

I guess it just seems strange to me that there would be a feature that allows you to create a lot of your own content, but then that content gets forever locked up inside little text boxes buried deep inside the resources. There's no opportunity to export your content, share it, or do anything else with it. In other words, unless we are missing something here, the text box feature seems far below Logos' usual standards for features related to user-generated content. I'm not sure I want to use those text boxes if that is the case, as I'd rather just type my content into a separate MS Word document.

I suspect that when they first designed this, they were thinking of books with questions like "What's the plural form of xyz?", where the answers aren't very interesting outside the context of the question.

My guess would be that they'll add a document type for this later, if there's enough interest, but that, given how few book we're talking about, it's not their highest priority at the moment.

Then I guess I better not hold my breath waiting for an enhanced version of this feature. Oh well, but I still think it would make a lot of sense to have it. Maybe someday.

.... and thanks for the link to the other thread.
