I have noticed others have gotten faster search results, so I shot this little video to show how slowly A7 returns a list of hits. If there is something I can report to help find what is slowing things down, let me know.

My system returns results in about half that time. You had more hits (103 v 77) in more verses (50 v 36), but that would not seem to account for that much difference in time.
Okay, than maybe I am running at the same speed as others and this is the norm for A7. I am excited for when the searches get optimized :-)

We're aware that search can be slow and it will definitely be getting some optimization in the future. Your search time however seems to be a bit of a statistical outlier (My MacBook Pro unibody at home returned similar results in 4.5 seconds for instance), and a few different things could contribute to this. I'm glad you've pointed this out as it will help with the optimization process.
