I would like to delete all the highlighting that I have in one of my Bibles. Is there a way to wipe out all of it at once and start fresh? I want to start a new study using colors to highlight different aspects. Thank you in advance.
Peace, James! *smile*
Yours is an unusual request, so I'll be watching this thread to see how you've been answered by others..... To clean it out all at once .... !!!
Wow!
Perhaps you could hide this Bible and then re-download a new, clean, unmarked copy from the cloud??? Sorry, that's the best my feeble mind can come up with! *smile*
Instead of deleting it, why not just turn it off? Go to the Visual Filters (three circles) icon, and uncheck the right option.
James - Yes, there is an easy way to delete all highlights in your bible... Delete the notefile. Of course, depending upon how you set up that notefile, there could be other consequences as well. Since I have set up resource specific note files, it is simply a matter of hitting "delete." Do you know which note file your notes are in? How did you organize them? NOTE: By default, notes go into a Pallete specific notefIle. This could be very problematic for you if you have a bunch of notes in there from other resources.
Note: That works OK on the desktop, but not mobile, where notes are "all or nothing."
I am certainly a novice user so my Logos is pretty well set up as it was "out of the box". I have not intentionally set up any kind of specific notefiles for my Bible - where is the default Pallete specific notefile located? I do not have any other highlighting that I am particularly worried about losing. I can certainly just over highlight over the basic yellow highlighter as I progress -- it would just be nice to have a fresh start.

You will find note documents in the documents menu. There will be a note document for every single highlighting pallet that you have used. Since you haven't changed the default, any resource which you have highlighted with that pallet will have its note in there. Once you delete the document, all of the highlights will disappear as well.

Are you SURE? If so, deleting the note document is the simplest choice.

Before you begin again, you really do need to learn about how the highlighting note documents work, and you should contemplate how you would like to organize (or not) your note files. As I mentioned earlier, I have set up note documents for each resource… this means a change in behavior for highlighting, but for me it is worth it.
