BST

Our Church bougth the BST New Testament CD-ROM, Windows version. We want to load the software onto a MAC book.
Will it work like that or is there a way that we can convert it to work on a MAC book?

Assuming it was the Logos or Libronix version that you got for Windows, it should be easy. Just download the Mac desktop version of the software and sign in with your user id. Logos will let you read the books you are licensed to read...
There are licensing issues though. Logos books are licensed for single users, not for community computers...

Just to add:
In case the CD-ROM was never installed on a Windows system, the Logos licence server will not know that the user owns the CD-ROM. A call to Customer Service, telling them the user id (which typically is the email-address used during first installation) and the multi-digit code on the label on the CD-ROM packaging, will allow Logos to associate BST to the respective account. The L5 Mac software will then download all necessary files.
EDIT: the wiki even has a sample of such a CS call

Welcome to the forums! [:)]
Let me give my thumbs up to calling customer service. I have done the same thing with a number of products, including the BST disc that you are referring to. In fact, I have a couple of discs in the mail (hopefully they will come today!). Once you call Logos and they unlock the resource for you, it will download to your computer from "the cloud." (CD's have been eliminated, but there is old stock floating around out there).

Let me warn you about one thing, however. Logos Bible Software, and its resources, are licensed to "one user." A church isn't considered "one user," and Logos does not have multi-user licenses. You may install the software on as many computers as you own (or is being lent to you by the church), for your personal use. You may not install the resources on multiple staff's computers. [The way the software & unlocking process works, you would end up sharing notes & highlights anyways... which would be undesirable]. I should also add one caveat. Logos does consider a spouse, not employed in full time ministry, as part of "one user." In other words, you may share your resources with your spouse.

Hi Ken
Thanks for your response. I have just installed the software on to my laptop. I want to activate it now, but when I get to the Enter Serial Number window it does not allow me to click on Next.

You installed it on your Mac, or on your PC? The software which came on the disc is very old, and only runs on PC. Seriously though, a phone call to Logos will likely be quicker.

I just re-read Ken's original reply to you. When you write that you installed the software, do you mean "Logos 5" (via the link he provided)? If so, great! You will need to do that… but it won't help you to unlock the BST. That can only be done using OLD software on a PC, or by calling Logos customer service.

This sounds like it is a Libronix product, and while I remember it being generally easy to activate over the internet, it has been so long since I have done so that I can't really give any really good troubleshooting advice. I would recommend double checking that you typed in the correct serial number, but really, before messing around much if it isn't working, call Customer Service.
Then the mac install link should work for you.
