I just downloaded the 4 engine. Everything installed fine, and it prepared my library with didn't take to long. However, it has yet to say anything about indexing. Is there something I am supposed to do to get it to index. I don't even know what the indexing is supposed to do, but I know it should have done it when I downloaded 4. Anything I'm missing? Thanks

There should be a little blue logos icon on your tool bar, that gives you the status of the indexing and allows you to pause it. Indexing allows your Mac L4 to know what resources you have and quickly access them all through the Mac L4 interface. If the icon is not there, and Mac L4 works, your indexing has finished.
