Acronyms in the PBB?

Is there a datatype for acronyms or abbreviations in the PBB?
E.g., [[ABD >> Abbreviation:Anchor Bible Dictionary]]
Or something like that?

I don't think so… but why would you need it?

Main reason would be to serve as a cue to readers as to what an acronym or abbreviation means. Most Logos resources already have this capability, and it can come in handy. I was just wondering if the same was possible with the PBB. I'm converting my thesis, and it would be nice to put some kind of tag with the various abbreviations I've used throughout.

Could you just link to an endnote?

Possibly, but it would be a less-than-elegant solution. I'd rather it just be a pop-up.

I don't have time to experiment right now, but when I create end notes, the hyperlink DOES create a popup.

You can setup a Glossary at the end of your PB docx file and then make each instance in the glossary a Headword. Then in the body of your PB you can use [[your word >> Headword:hw_text_here ]] and L4/5 will show a popup when the user hovers over the text.
See this attached docx file:

Just make it a footnote in Word (give it a custom footnote reference number, e.g. ABD; and then the content of the footnote is the expansion of the acronym). And then it will be a pop-up in Logos. You'll also want to reformat the size of the footnote marker so it isn't tiny superscripted text but the same size and position as the surrounding text.
This document works:
Here's how to insert the footnote mark:
Here it is in Word, hovering over the footnote mark:
Here it is in Logos:
The only time you'd ever see these "footnotes" anywhere except as pop-ups is if you viewed the resource in page layout view (1 or more columns) with footnotes visible on the page:

Nice Rosie. Thanks!
So far this comes closest to what I'm after.

Glad to see your name pop on on these forums, and I am also glad that you are converting your thesis on James, as well.
Hope all is well! We should catch via. email sometime.
