I am a first timer to Logos for Mac. I am just wondering this about the difference in features and content...
What are the differences between Logos for mac previous version and Logos 4 alpha so far?
Hi, do you own a logos product or just exploring?
Logos 1.2.2 is the first mac effort now being replaced by Logos 4 for mac which is in Alpha development.
The current L4mac alpha will have al the features you see in the windows version.
Is there something specific you are looking for?
I just bought the logos 4 and also got the Logos 1.2.2. I am comparing both. I love the way the old version can open a new window. Set preferences. Copy and paste and it do a footnote for you. I like graphics with the use of maps, art, etc. Looking for it to be more user friendly with a lot more features than the older version.
1.2.2 follows more closely the design rationale of v3 for Windows. L4 Mac is supposed to be following what we see now for L4 Windows. Versions 3 & 4 (windows) both have their strengths and weaknesses. If you have time, run both 1.2.2 and the new Mac alpha version and give input on the design of the alpha version as it is being developed. The more testers, the better.
