Use of Device: in the library searches

Out of curiosity, I created a collection of books that I had rated highly, but were not on my iPad:
rating:>4 ANDNOT device:Mar
This works fine.
One of the resources was The Oxford Dictionary of the Christian Church; which I presume cannot be put onto the iPad due to license restrictions. That is OK. Presumably then, when I search using my iPad, this resource will be excluded from my results. That lead to the thought of which resources are excluded? Can I see a list in my library, and can I also exclude them from my list above.
How do I search for resources for which there is explicitly no devices field?
device:"" and device:NULL do not work (no surprises there).
I thought I could create a collection and sort by device, but other than wanting it to be a dynamic collection, this does not work! All 'un-padded' resources sort as '--' regardless of their 'paddable' status.
Thanks.

Hi Martin
Interesting idea!
But one of the challenges with this is that the "device:" field shows what has been downloaded to your mobile device as opposed to what could be accessed from it.
So finding excluded resources would need to be done another way - and I can't think of one from within the Logos library. I believe you could do this on the Logos website

possibly ... But in the library, there are no tick boxes for mobile devices where most resources have tick boxes that may (or may not) be ticked. That suggests that the desktop app is able to determine 'mobile availability' on a resource by resource basis ... I do not know if there is a reserved keyword used in place to the device's name to denote that the resource is not available on mobile devices.
BTW. Any news on when the forum software will be fixed to allow iPad replies? This was the most frustrating experience on my pad ... No other site is like hit his .... And I am not even sure what will happen when I post!!!

Not necessarily. There is - for example - an issue with Zondervan ebooks which means they aren't "mobile manageable" from the library but this doesn't mean that they can't be accessed on mobile devices.

I'm not aware of one - it would be nice if there were[:)]

I can reply from my iPad - although the experience isn't as smooth as I would like.
What specific issues are you seeing - and in which browser?
