A man walked into a bar and said to the barkeep, "Give me a beer." That's imperative. Similarly, "Have mercy on us" (ἐλέησον ἡμᾶς) is also a request that is in the imperative. Nothing strange here.

Just to be clear about this, the imperative is not necessarily rude. It can, and does, function as a polite request, or a desperate cry.

imperative — The mood that normally expresses a command, intention, exhortation, or polite request. The imperative mood is therefore not an expression of reality but possibility and volition.

Georeg ,Lee, David thanks for your replys
I know eleeo is in the imperative. But when I listen to the (blind men) voices in the imperative they sound
desperate because Christ keeps walking all the way to the next house before answering.
fearful because they do not want to lose this chance for there healing.
So with this I wonder.

More seriously, you are moving into interpretation rather than the use of Logos tools unless you are asking something along the line of "is there anything in the sentence structure/discourse analysis of the sentence/cultural background that allows me to infer desperation and fear?"
