What is indexing?
In the screenshot there is indication of something indexing,
What is actually being indexed? How frequently does it happen and what triggers it?
thanks, Graham

Hi Graham,
I remember reading a comment from a Logos employee (I had a quick search, but couldn't find it). It is my recollection that the app indexes when new or updated resources are added to the library. Have you recently added new purchases or allowed the app to update resources?
I am not sure if there are any other conditions which would cause the app to index (perhaps when the app itself is updated?).
Blessings

Hi Andy - thanks for that.

There were a couple of resource updates recently which would make sense.
I guess my wider question is about what this index is used for. One of the reasons given for some iPad functions not working when offline is the lack of an index - but here we have something indexing.
I am assuming it is more of an index of what is in the library as opposed to the index used on the desktop - but just trying to get a better understanding.

Yes, that's right. It's to allow you to filter your library without needing to go online, which speeds things up.

Sometimes I get irritated by the frequency … and then I remember, "Oh, yeah. I got a new freebie today."
