Logos crashs when trying to open

My Logos 5 running on a Win 7 64 bit with 18 gigs or ram started crashing. I did a system restore and it did not help. A box comes up that says Logos Bible Software 5 has stopped working. The home page started coming up when I held Ctrl down at sign in but it crashes when I attempt to open Layout. Attached are my logs created I hope when I was doing the above things. Can someone please help. I will not be able to respond to your suggestions asap as I have to go out for a while. Thanks for your help, earl

Sometimes you can get a corrupted layout, and you just have to rebuild the layout. I did find an error message in your logs, however, that point to a corrupted database file… but I am not sure which one. It may be the LibraryCatalog Catalog.db file. I would rather you wait for someone with more techie credentials to advise you before you delete it.

I have tried several different layout but I will try again. If I am successful I will post it asap but I do not think that is the problem. Thanks a lot for your thoughtfulness. love ya, earl

It's difficult to tell whether it's the Library Catalog or the Metadata database which is corrupted. So that's either one of the two files:
- C:\Users\earl\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\rfjyw5hn.voh\LibraryCatalog\catalog.db
- C:\Users\earl\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\rfjyw5hn.voh\Updates\Metadata.db
With Logos closed, either file is safe to delete, as they'll be re-created next time you restart. (The restart will take longer than usual as a result.) You could delete one file first, and then the other if it still doesn't work, or just delete both files to be on the safe side.

I have been unable to find the following path anywhere on my computer.
C:\Users\earl\AppData\Local\Logos4
There is no AppData in the folder found when one goes to C drive, then users, then earl. Got any ideas?0 -

It is hidden. to see the folder use Option 1 at http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/394-hidden-files-folders-show-hide.html

I followed the 'find the hidden folder' option 1 and that went well. Deleted the corrupt metadata files (there were 2 of them) and its seems to be working! I am amazed at how dependent I have become on this program. Thanks everyone. Love ya, earl
