Logos 5 Help: Basic Search Options and Value of Help

Logos,

Please update the Help system with details regarding All Text drop down list.  As you know, there is nothing about the drop down list:

Maybe a link to the Wiki Search Fields List or content placement into L5's Help system.

From the perspective of users who have large libraries, one challenge of using Logos 4/5 is managing information overload, or, focusing and limiting the outputs of search.

How is Logos collecting feedback regarding the usefulness of the built-in Help? Of the Wiki?

Which is/are more useful - the online Wiki, the built-in Help system, or both?

If the Logos design model is heavily cloud-based, why not the Help system also?

Suppose, if the online Wiki is more helpful to users (assuming that users actually use the Wiki), then Logos management and product architects should re-evaluate the current state and future purpose and values of the Help system and Wiki.

Peace, David!            *smile*                                       Your post is a well-considered one!    Indeed!                     You raise important points, if not -- issues!

I thought I'd bump this  ...                  Some time has gone by, and perhaps some one from Logos might like to speak to a couple of these points   ....    for our understanding and enlightenment ...                               ........     Please!

When it tells you to click on "All Text", it refers to the words "All Text" in the search pattern.  When you do that you should get a list of types of text to be searched such as "Content", "Description", "Footnote Text", etc.  The list will vary depending upon the resource(s) you wish to search.  Choose the area(s) you wish to search.

Peace and Every Blessing, George!                  *smile*              Thanks much for your response...         What I had hoped, though, was to engender some discussion on a couple of the OP's comments ...   eg.        "How is Logos collecting feedback regarding the usefulness of the built-in Help? Hey, George!             Sometimes indeed you are a "naughty one"!            *smile*

Not this time, however!        You responded to actually be of help and assistance to someone; and I cannot even describe how good that makes me feel.

Often I see a post from you reaching out with help and assistance; and I really truly respect that, George!

I think that probably the main reason I "bumped" this very old post is because "Newbies" can sometimes swim around in the Logos Waters for an inordinate amount of time before someone "reaches out."           Thus the importance of the availability of good and useful "HELP" files!

If I am indeed privileged to be an MVP - whatever that is! - *smile* - one of my sadnesses is seeing newbies waiting a long, long time for help.

I'm getting older by the day, George, and don't have a lot of extra time; so I rejoice when I see Brothers and Sisters from the Forums -- as well as Logos' Staff People -- reaching out.                     My point is that we could do better by making sure that we are indeed providing some very relevant and pertinent help files.

I AM INDEED pleased to see the "upgrade" in some of these:   https://www.logos.com/videos?utm_source=blog.logos.com&utm_medium=blog&utm_content=grow14&utm_campaign=logos2014q1
