O.k.... Logos is GREAT for referencing... yet one of the most referenced books you don't have!

In the reformed camp, the basics are "Chosen By God" ... another good one is "The Potter's freedom" ...

But one of the best works ever on Romans 9 and is referenced ALL the time is John Piper's "The Justification of God" ...

So.... when can we see this book in Logos?

Actually I think that Logos does a pretty good job here. They can't cater to Reformed theology and actually I would LOVE to see Arminian Theology: Myths and Realities by Roger Olson (an Arminian) and maybe a few more Arminian works even though I'm Reformed.

The Potter's Freedom... maybe. Chosen By God... I don't think so. Logos gets tons of book suggestions and I'm sure they have to be selective about what they add and what they don't. They need to focus on adding the best resources in certain areas like (ahem) Philosophy of Religion, World Religion, various branches of theology etc... I would rather see them do that than focus on books that are simply popular (like Chosen by God) which, while maybe popular, aren't anything special.

I wasn't comparing Piper's Work to White's or Sproul's books. I agree, they aren't "deep exegetical" works. They are VERY good "intro" works. I was just saying they are popular like Piper's Work. I also agree that popularity isn't the standard either.

They do have Arminian Works on Logos, which I do look at, just read Cottrell's work on Romans 9 in the College Press NIV commentary last night. But to tell you the truth, I don't respect them as much as I should.

(I guess this is as good a time as any to plug the Themelios journals on Logos Pre-pub... but it seems like the Logos staff has come to a complete halt on all pre-pubs... even those which were supposed to ship this week have been pushed back a month, which is really ridiculous.)

N.T. Wright has been wonderful in defending the veracity of Scripture, but he definitely has re-defined Paul's theology on grace in recent days.

Yes, I would very much like to endorse John's plug for Themelios (in fact I think I already have at least three times!) - it's a great body of work and would be a real asset to any body's Logos collection.

Yes, it's a shame that some pre-pubs seem to be pushed back forever, even at the 'under-development' stage I don't understand why some promoted later seem to come out before others promoted earlier (given same sort of size, number of pages etc)..
