1) Type a word in a note.
2) Indent it several steps.
3) Make it bulleted (or numbered).
4) Decrease the indentation.

You also need to play around more with indents and bullets in general. I twice encountered a situation where removing a bullet made the line jump further left than it then jumped right when I reinserted the bullet. Haven't found a reproducible case, and don't have time to search for one.
