Hiding forum sections

Would anyone else like to hide all the forum sections that we are not subscribed to when we click on unread messages? As Logos adds more and more sections, I find myself spending too much time marking sections as read that I have no interest in. First of all, is this currently possible with the forum settings as I have not been able to find it and second, if not, can it be easily incorporated into the software as an option.

You might want to consider using RSS feeds to keep track of the forums.

The official feeds for the individual forums don't work properly, so see here for an alternative (read to the bottom of the page for the revised URLs):

If you don't already use RSS feeds, note that Google Reader is shutting down on 1 July. I now use Feedly instead.

Question: How would we then know that there was a new section that we would be interested in but as we have not yet subscribed to it we do not see it?

Maybe a better solution would be a "Hide this Forum" option. Then we wouldn't have to continually "Mark as read" forums we were never interested in following.
