So much for downloading new resources

I have several prepub orders which I've always wanted the CD sent to me for backup purposes. I was under the understanding once you purchased Logos4 that new resources would be downloaded, not sent via CD. Well yesterday I was notified that 2 of my prepubs are being sent via CD....it would seem like their computer system would have automatically changed all prepubs to download...oh well, I will install them to Logos3, hopefully, when I get them and sync them to Logos4.

There was a bit of talk about this back when L4 was first released and the word was we needed to manually change our pre-pubs to get downloads. The problem was that there was no way for us to do that. We had to call Customer Service and they could do it. At some point this must have been lost in the shuffle.

BTW: some pre-pubs were only available via CD in the first place. The word was those would come that way to us and would not be able to be changed over.

Charles, as we're still in that transition phase, of pre-pubs purchased before L4 was released, and some still preferring to use Logos3, some things may not be quite as expected.

If you go to the Logos web site now and look for pre-pubs or other resources to buy, you'll see a note saying that you must choose the download option for L4 resources. The only other option is the 3.0 CD/DVD option.

If you're really anxious to get going with your new resource, you can always call Logos support and see if they can unlock it for you.

One thing to try (and I don't know if this will work, or not in your case) is to go to this web site (assumes you're signed in):

https://www.logos.com/user/MyOrders

and look for your most recent purchase. Click on the purchase order number and it will take you to a page where you may have an activation script, or other instructions. The activation script (if one is there), will be for L3, but once you run it and sync your licenses you should be able to get it through L4 as well. Like I said, I don't know if this will work, because I'm not sure how that is set up for CD distribution. You may have to activate your script from the CD before the script becomes active for you on your account site. But it's worth a try.
