BUG 5.1 RC2: PG/EG shortcuts don't open properly
1) Open a PG or EG.
2) Change the passage in the reference box to something else and run the guide.
3) Drag the tab to the shortcut bar.
4) Close the tab.
5) Open it again by clicking on the shortcut.

6) Click the shortcut once more.
>> The second PG/EG does open to the correct passage.
Observations:
- I am fairly certain this is a regression since 5.0b. I had a shortcut I used extensively for bug testing some weeks ago. I could hardly have missed if it had behaved like this then.
- I have tried with both PG's and EG's, both default and custom made.
- BWS seems to behave correctly.

A shortcut for a guide should open with the query box populated with the information for the last guide that you ran of that type.

Given the above, that would be a bug. I am not able to reproduce this issue. My shortcut opens to the last reference/word that I ran in that guide. Are you still seeing this issue in RC3?

That part of it, no, it seems not.

If you drag a book from Library to the shortcut bar, it opens to where you were when you last had the book open. If you drag a book from a tab to the shortcut bar, it opens to where you were when you created the shortcut. Everything I can think of follows that pattern, so I was about to ask you why guides behave inconsistently with everything else. Then it struck me: if I want to open a particular guide so often that I want a shortcut for it, the logical thing to do would be to save it, and then I can drag the saved guide to the shortcut bar.[I]
Except I can't.[:(] Even a shortcut dragged from a saved guide in the Guide dropdown doesn't open to that saved guide. Now, that at least has got to be a bug. The whole idea with the shortcut bar is to save us the trouble of having to open a dropdown. And it does include the Bible reference in the name shown while I'm dragging.

That's expected. Guides are not like Documents in this respect. The shortcuts don't store that much information about them. A Favorite item, though, should open directly to a specific report. If you made that item a bookmark it could even be accessed via keyboard shortcut.

I have a hard time understanding why a saved Guide should be expected to behave differently than a saved Document when dragged to the shortcut bar.

That's pretty meaningless in itself. Opening a guide from Favorites is more trouble than opening it directly from Guides. And if it can remember the settings when dragged to Favorites, there is no reason it can't remember them when dragged to the shortcut bar.
But at least I can open Favorites, open Guides, drag from Guides to Favorites, drag from Favorites to the shortcut bar, delete the Favorite, and close Favorites again. A rather time consuming way to set up a shortcut, though...[:S]
