http://www.screencast.com/users/jrmiller777/folders/Jing/media/1712fee4-1617-4b24-bb71-d65bb2a5de38
Thanks for the video but there are actually no resources or bibles to choose from. i literaly have none of the material uploading. but thank you for sending me the video.
Michael,
The books are not shown on the "Home Page" (this was your comment from the first post) you need to open the Library to see your books.
1. Do you see the little blue Logos icon on the menu bar?
2. When you hover your mouse over it, does it say your L4 is indexing?
3. If you open the Library browser, do you see any books there?
Joe,
1.yes i do see the blue icon. if you mean the icon on the bottom of my Mac.
2.no it says Logos bible software 4
3.I dont see any book there in the library.
Hi Michael,
So look again, do you have a blue icon in the menu?
Michael
I am not Joe, but perhaps I can help some until he comes back to this thread
The icon in question should be located in your menu bar at the top of the screen. It should show up during downloading and indexing.
The icon mentioned in #1 will tell you what the Indexer is doing and give you an estimate of time remaining.
Your resources should automatically download and index. If that process did not start, there will be no resources.
So, the main question is "Do you see a little blue icon at the top of your screen?"
ok thank you for the picture. hahaha as you can see iam more a visual learner so the picture helped and no i dont have the icon on the menu of the blue Logos.
what does that mean?
also i am finding out that my indexer does not open. i have tried reinstalling it a couple of times already.
There is no separate "indexer" to install so I am having trouble figuring out exactly what you are talking about.
Since you have no books and no indexing has taken place, I suggest you remove the current installation completely and redo your installation.
Before you do that though, what are your system specifications? Hardware? Version of Mac OS? Memory?
i have reinstalled the enitre program not just the installer. when i double click on the installer and it asks
me to download the file and then it says that the file dosnt exist. but i can see all the files when looking at
the content.
i have snow leopard and 1gb of memory.
Can you post some screenshots of what you are talking about and what you are seeing?
And as I asked above, what are your system specs?
i am sorry i dont know how to show a screenshots. all i have done is download limbronix DLS and i can open up Logos 4 but nothing is there.
and i dont know how to look at my system specs. as you can see i dont know the insides out of my comp.
Use the keystroke <Command><Shift><3>
The Command button is the one with the little apple on it.
1. Click the little apple on the menu bar
2. Click on "About This Mac"
3. The first arrow shows your Software version. That is the first thing you need to report. Then click the "More Info" button
4. Copy and paste this info into the forum
Michael, give your level of computer knowledge. I am gong to recommend you avoid the Alpha testing phase and wait until a much more stable product is available. There is a lot of reporting and potential frustration in this process that may be too much for you.
Blessings
