Cloud/Hard Drive Concern

Greetings,

I've used Proclaim before at a different church and it was awesome! However now, I'm over a Youth Ministry at a new church and the private internet connection is slow when it comes to playing/streaming video. Recently, we switched over from playing YouTube videos to running downloaded videos from our hard drive.

With Youth, things HAVE to be visual. If we start using Proclaim and I load our videos in, I'm concerned that we'll be faced with the same issue we've been having with YouTube.

My question: Is there a way to run videos on Proclaim without uploading them and streaming them from their cloud?

As far as I know you can run all your media directly from the presenting computer - this of course means that you have to place the media on the presenting computer in the first place. The drawback is the lack of co-operative working.

It also means that you have to download the YouTube videos you wish to use - but this is perfectly feasible and may well give a better presentation experience.

If you have time before your service you can sync the whole service prior to presentation - that means that you are in fact using local files and streaming is not necessary.

When you build or load a presentation, that presentation is automatically saved to your computer as well as the cloud. This allows you to view and present without an internet connection. The only thing you need a connection for is to sync up to the cloud/other computers and to download any media you may want to use.
