Logos 5 Win 8 Crash Unfixed

Hi Guys,
I live in Australia, so calling support isn't really an option.
Basically, I have been having the same issue as others - logos 5 (and 4) crashes when being opened in Win 8.
I checked blank layout and tried using administrator options but neither worked. It is the same for both offline and online.

Sam, welcome to the Logos forums!
Since you're using Logos 5.1 Release Candidate 2, this belongs over in the Desktop Beta forum where it is more likely to be seen by Logos QA or Development. There is no more active development going on in Logos 4 (just a few service releases).
Did you know there is a newer version available, RC 3:

I haven't seen any bug fixes in the release notes for RC 3 that would indicate they've fixed this crashing bug, but it might be related to having a mismatched version of a database for the version of Logos you're running, and upgrading might take care of that (but I'm not really an expert in that area; just did some Googling for that error message on the forums).

Welcome Sam, I also live in Australia (Melbourne).
The crash you are experiencing is not related to Windows 8; just one of those things that go qwrong with Logos databases. To fix this please delete the folder C:\Users\Sam\AppData\Local\Logos4\Documents\20f15mxl.gny\KeyLinkManager\ and restart Logos. Remember that \AppData is a hidden folder so use Folder Options if necessary to view Hidden Files and Folders.

Sam, thanks for the report.
There is an open case for this issue. I have appended this forum thread to the case.
