I've getting close to "done" with getting L4 set up to be productive. So I got to thinking, what may I be missing? Thus far I've found:
- predefine search ranges - I've got about 25 and am nearly done
- predefine reading plans - I've gotten no where because of the limitation of a book appearing only one in a single plan
- define collections - I have 11 probably about half way through; having the collections show as an element of the library matrix could speed the process
- define work spaces - I have three but probably will not really work on this until I know how notes, sermons and PBB's work.
- define priority lists - I still am having to tweak it a bit because I was not sufficiently disciplined in identifying what groups were used by Logos ... and what books belonged to that type.
- define personal word, passage and exegetical guides ... these were quick and easy
- modify library to hide resources of no personal use
- one non-Biblical reading plan and a favorite to preserve position
- select primary English translation (and indirectly, primary lectionary)
The only truly frustrating part of the setup has been trying to match the priority categories to my list. I would appreciate knowing up front all the categories for which I might want to set priorities because they directly effect what Logos displays to me. I would then do a search on the category to see what resources I have that I might want to prioritize.
Notes after 3 responses below.
10. I have setup 8 shortcuts but keeping running into an unidentified bug with them.
11. Visual filters also need to be set up - I haven't tried this element yet.
