As the list gets bigger I think it would be necessary or at least convenient to break it down into categories: systematic theologies, philosophy of religion, pastoral, etc.
Another problem with such things is that there is no end to the writing of books (esp. self-help/pastoral). There are thousands upon thousands of books and what strikes one reader as good may be regarded as rubbish by another (or even most) person(s). If everyone added some book they read once that they thought was good, the list would become absolutely useless because there would be so many (and so many books that were worth nothing).
**There should perhaps be an initial stage that the suggested resource has to go through to gain merit/credibility before it makes it to a more seriously list.** And while posting it up here, in the suggestions forums, is one sort of solution in that persons can recognize it and add their support, I'm also afraid we have too narrow an audience. It would also be necessary to have persons familiar with the category the book falls into and, at least, some knowledge of where to do further research to see if the resource is actually worth the time and effort.
