How do I create a visual filter to highlight "God" but not "god" or "gods"?
In the config menu for the filter window, select "Match case" and deselect "Match all word forms".
And of course, enter "God" in the filter field.
I presume that you recognize that the capital may indicate nothing except start of sentence/start of quotation

The word "god" is not likely start a sentence because it requires an article in English.
Unless it is Vocative [:)] and then it may be preceded by "Oh" or nothing at all, based on translation philosophy.

Yes, but then it would be the capitalized version anyway. I don't know of anyone vocatively invoking lower-case "god" because it isn't a name.
I wasn't claiming that the Vocative generated any real-world exceptions to what was being discussed [:D]

That's nice to know. But obviously Hootons begin sentences. As long as you're not claiming to be the god of "little god" searches we're safe. :-)
