What have I got my self into?

I hope this works better than what I can do! doesn't work like what I saw prior to buying? Any help would be great.

What you most likely saw before buying is the Windows version. Regardless, the Mac version is in Alpha and really not ready for serious use yet. Logos is releasing updates every two weeks or less, and as a result, the Mac version is rapidly developing. In a few more months, things should really be hopping pretty good and there's even one estimate that it will be more or less a fully functional product within six months.

If you really want to run L4 now, a number of us are using the Windows version on our macs using Fusion or Parallels. (You get the Windows version for free as well) In my signature line are suggested settings for Fusion. It works really, really well, but I am really looking forward to the full blown Mac version.

In addition, all your settings and work (notes) in L4windows carry over to the Mac version so running things on windows will provide a perfect transition to the Mac.

ok, I will install the PC version on to my PC laptop and wait for the Mac version to be completed. I just wish I would have know this before I bought it, but not a big deal. Thanks guys. Is there anything that I need to do to get these updates?

Please feed back to CS that you felt it wasn't clear. If enough people do this, then they will make changes to their literature. My opinion is that it could be beefed up a bit because what you are reporting is comment.

Updates are automatic. Just launch the programme from time to time and it will install any updates that you are entitled to, whether it be the software or the resources. In theory, it is really maintenance free. The only thing you need to be aware of is that sometimes the downloads can be a bit large, so if you are on an internet connection with a strict download cap, you might want to keep an eye on that.
