Passage/Pericope suggestions -- turn off?

[Sorry if this has already been answered, nothing is coming up on search and there are thousands of threads here...]

Love the new interface... there is so much to see and learn, it is fantastic.

On thing I'm having trouble with on my computer is the list of "suggestions" anytime I type in a passage... it makes it awkward, and the suggestions aren't helpful to me (they tend to obscure what I'm typing). I'm referring, for example, to when you type in a verse in the "copy bible" dialogue box and a list pops up.

Is there any way to turn these suggestions off (the pericope list)? I'm pretty new at looking at it... so if anyone has information on how, it would be much appreciated!

All I've been able to find so far (in my brief look) is "Program settings," but this isn't one of the options there.

Do you mean the suggestion of "Mark 1:1-8 John the Baptist Prepares the Way" when you type Mark 1:1?

We don't have a way to turn this off right now, but I'm not sure why it obscures your typing -- it should appear below the edit box.

I think I know what you mean Dax. The pericope list that pops up when you type "Mark 1:1" into Copy Bible Verses obscures the options, right? Like this?

You want to be able to see the options, like this:

I too have found that a bit disconcerting, since I never select the pericopes suggested. I always know what verse or verse range I'm typing in. However, you can make the dropdown go away by pressing Escape.

Perhaps in a forthcomnig version of Logos there should be an option to turn off suggested pericopes when typing references. I don't find it particularly useful at all.

Bob, thanks for personally reading! You're absolutely right, it doesn't obscure my typing, it obscures the box options.

Rosie, great idea with the 'esc' key... that helps alot.

I also didn't realize that "enter" doesn't actually copy or copy/paste, but puts a box around the next option and then I can tab down to the copy/paste button (and thereby see what is coming).

After pressing "Enter," you don't need to tab down to the button. You can type Alt+C to press the Copy button or Alt+P to press the Copy and Paste button. (Notice the underlined letters in the text on these buttons; Alt+ is how you access these shortcuts.)
