Does the Biblical Archaeological Review have cover photos for each individual magazine? Mine seem to be inexistent.
Any thoughts on how to fix this issue?
Many journals don't have cover art.
Bummer... Well at least one of the 180+ magazines has cover art [;)]
Those have been missing since forever. It's been reported on http://wiki.logos.com/Metadata_correction_proposals but has been sitting on that list for a long time without Logos addressing it. I'm not sure why it's difficult for them. They do have the front cover images (they are inside each issue, on the cover page). So they ought to be able to make them available in the metadata. I'll try to yank someone's chain about this. Maybe they simply don't any longer have the license to do any edits on these files, since they no longer sell the magazine. People who own it already are grandfathered, but even if they are allowed to fix metadata issues, maybe it's not worth their while since nobody else will be buying them, so they won't ever get reimbursed for the time it would take.
Other ones that are missing it: Archaeology Odyssey, Bible Review, Biblical Archaeologist, and Discipleship Journal. All of these have the cover images inside the resource, but not in the metadata. Doesn't seem to be too much to ask to make them available in metadata so they show up in our Library. Please?
Indeed, there are quite a few missing covers in Logos resources. If only Logos could allow customers to edit the graphic covers of existing resources or ones that have "blank" covers (and are not PB resources).

AND 90% of these resources don't have covers and NOT TAGGED AT ALL, none, nothing.

and there are more than 100-200 books there...
While we are on the subject of BAR, I'll make another plug for updating the archives with more recent issues. Just yesterday I left feedback with BAR suggesting again that they consider doing this after issues become a certain age. BAR is a huge asset to the Logos library, as are journals in that they give more recent information on points of interest that the larger books won't contain until they are updated or released.
I use BAR all the time and if I am looking for contemporary information on a site in my Logos library, BAR often pops up with very helpful articles.

Cool. And you can click on one of them to open that resource. Now if only all the books had a picture of their cover inside on the cover page, and they all were consistently tagged that way (or "cover image") across our entire Library, we'd have that Visual Bookshelf feature that everyone's been clamoring for.
I only get 1790 cover images when I do this search, out of 10,810 books in my Library. Somewhat less than 20%.
Please try an image search of Entire Library for:
"Table of Contents","Cover Illustration","Christian History, Issue","Discipleship Journal, Copyright"

Interestingly, it included this. Not sure why since only the word "Illustration" not phrase "Cover Illustration":
Hi Rosie
On experimenting it looks as though it is actually matching "Illustration" as long as the leading word is also present in the article!

Weird. When I put quotes around a phrase I want Logos to find those words only when they're together as a phrase, not when they are separated. But you're right in having found "covered" in the text. Also weird, though, I did not have "Match All Word Forms" turned on. So "covered" shouldn't have been a match for "cover." I'm inclined to call this a bug (and the phrase search not working as expected).

I spotted that as well and agree it makes the whole thing even stranger.
Also strange that "covered" isn't highlighted to indicate it was one of the search hits.

Agreed
I thought I would resurrect this thread because I just received my copy of BAR - 1975-2005 which I got for only $39 last month. I would really love to put in cover photos. This is a long shot but has anyone figured out a way to do this yet?
Personally I think the best idea would be for Logos to allow the option of replacing the cover images for all of our resources. That way we could put them on any resource that may be missing a cover photo.

I agree with you but if that is too hard or too much work I thought that this might be a better option.
See Cover Images.
Thanks for reminding us of this. I can still dream of a time when this can be improved.
