Just curious, What Happened to the Ryrie and MacArthur Bundles?
Thanks!
MacArthur was part of the Moody collection… everything from Moody was pulled in Logos due to publisher's request.
What Happened to the Ryrie and MacArthur Bundles?
The Ryrie collection I have was known as the Charles Ryrie Legacy Collection. It does not appear on the Logos website. Was there also another Ryrie collection?
Product page => http://www.logos.com/product/7404/ryries-practical-guide-to-communicating-bible-doctrine link to Charles Ryrie Collection => http://www.logos.com/product/4416/charles-ryrie-collection shows "We're Sorry"
Internet archive shows resources in Charles Ryrie Collection were published by Moody Press. Praying for profitable reconciliation between Logos and Moody.

Does that mean all the commentaries are gone now too?
What happened to all the Nelson MacArthur titles? Did they get merged into the major unlock?

That's the one I was referring to.

Yeah we should all ban together and see if we can get Moody stuff back into Logos format. We need it! :-)
Is this Logos format from some other place I could buy it or a totally different software engine?
I am not sure how large a collection the Logos one was, but another software package that I am guessing you can find through a "search" has a Ryrie collection it sells for $59.95, for me personally I have read Basic theology years ago and the study Bible is enough for me but thought I would let you know even though for now the books are not here on Logos others still have them in software format, if you want to go "search"ing for it. -dan

Anything that is published by Moody is gone from Logos. There are still titles from Moody in Vyrso (which have different terms with publishers), but only the vyrso edition resources. HERE is the announcement.
Different program, I did not feel right mentioning the name even though it's no longer in Logos (it will hopefully be back in logos one day). It's a bible software whose name contains the Word "Search" … I mentioned it because at $60 it seems like a very good deal, for books retailing for $310, and even purchased serpratly in that software are into over $200….

I can't remember if Moody did the MacArthur commentaries, but I think they did, so I guess they've bitten the dust now. I also had a couple on PrePub that'll probably get cancelled. I had a lot of Moody stuff on my Wish List I wanted. I know a lot of us did.
Well, this is pretty sad. Thanks for the info.

I have the program. :-) I have some of those titles in that format, but I still wanted them in Logos format since I start my studies with Logos and spend most of my time in Logos. I always start with Logos and work my way over to other programs.
That is a good deal though and one I'll sure consider if I want to go for it. Thanks for sharing it.
How convenient ... opening this page includes WordSearchBible.com content ( my nifty browser excitely moving me over for 'technology advances coming soon!' ).
I'm wondering which marketing team is best: Logos with 'you'll never see discounts this BIG!!' vs WSB's 'technology advances coming soon!!'
Logos has a true mac program at least. WS has a crossover cover lettings use windows version but I am not impressed with it.. I realize i am the one responsible for bringing WS into this thread but going to the advances is just a more robust iOS/andoid app… I have yet to be impressed, their original iPad app was not good and the current release won;t run… in a week they hope to have the bugs out but I will believe it when i see it.

None of the base-packages are great value, they contain almost only low-cost books, for which there are alternatives. I want to see them change substantially!:
In the meantime, Logos could entice me into upgrading my base collection to a larger one with deeper discounts. I've already bought into the L5 bandwagon and love it, and Logos could entice me to purchase more books at deeper savings and give me another chance to get the larger collection I wanted.

I personally love my Logos Base Collection and couldn't get by without it.
Only thing I'd change is add some additional books next time around (such as the discourse collections, Butler, and a lot of the Logos-exclusive stuff coming down the pipeline). It'd allow me to keep up with Logos' innovations with each collection upgrade instead of remembering to buy it all separately. :-)
If Logos wanted to offer a collection with the GBS Bundle, IVP Essential Collection, and AYBD included as well, that'd be huge. Call it "Seminary Library". Sure we can buy them individually just fine, but offering it all bundled into a base collection would be appealing. :-)

Logos had the right idea by offering great buys on popular add-ons with the purchase of a base pkg upgrade for L5. Unfortunately, I don't think most people knew about the offer.
I had already added many of the items, but picked up several that had been on my wishlist, waiting for the right price to come along.

Yeah, I myself didn't even realize it. I know with Portfolio your discounts are locked in completely, but it's not the case with Diamond and below. I wish that Logos would have instead sent out an email after my purchase stating "You've upgraded to a L5 Base Collection, now have a chance to add on some bundles at a discount!". Make it a coupon code that expires after so long, and the coupon code would have been good for a single order. I could purchase as little or as much as I want but only use the code once. That might have been clearer to understand.
I know with Portfolio your discounts are locked in completely,
What do you mean "locked in"?
I did not know of the customize option when I went from Portfolio 4 to Portfolio 5. I figured I missed out on the upgrades.
I experienced the same thing last fall when I upgraded.

From what I heard, once you go Portfolio, the discounts on the extra stuff most people are offered only one time during the upgrade process, you're offered them anytime since you have Portfolio. You could double-check with Logos sales to confirm.

I have Portfolio and I can confirm that this is NOT the case. Just this week I contacted Customer Service to ask for a discount on the Boice's Commentary which I somehow missed when I upgraded from L4 to L5. I was told clearly that the discount may be offered for a short time afterwards but it is certainly not offered on a long-term basis. Oh how I wish it was!

Well that's a shame! I didn't get that out of any of the information I read from Logos' marketing material. They probably need to clear that up.
I totally agree with you Nathan. It needs to be clearly stated up front.
