Logos 5 on PC - graphics performance question

Does anyone have experience of using Logos 5 on the graphics card built into the 4th-gen (Haswell) i7 versus a dedicated graphics card?

Just ordered a new laptop. It has a GT750M with 4GB, or the nVidia Optimus software can assign Logos 5 to run on the graphics processor built into the i7-4700HQ CPU. I'm wondering how much of a trade-off that works out to be in practice (trading performance for battery life). Any experiences?

(It also has a 256GB SSD, so I'm looking forward to that when it arrives.)

I've found it difficult to measure the difference in Logos (I have an i7-3770K, and an nVidia GeForce GT640). That's not Haswell, mind. Quickly zooming in and out of some of the maps with the mousewheel is just about the only place I can see a difference.

Of course, switching to the onboard graphics not only reduces graphics performance, but also RAM. I have 16GB so wouldn't really notice loosing a Gb or two. If you have less RAM you might notice more of a difference.

If I was you, I would leave Optimus on automatic, and let it switch away from the onboard GPU only if it needs to. I doubt it ever will, in Logos.
