Working with Hebrew (Aramaic), Greek, and English in Logos 5

I just published a rather lengthy blog post on how Logos5 can be used to work with the Hebrew/Aramaic Masoretic text, the Greek Septuagint, and English translations.

The matter arose because of a post on the Accordance blog showing what it can do. I wanted to see how to accomplish the same thing in BibleWorks9 or in Logos5.

I've worked a lot with Logos, but I'm certainly no Logos expert. If you find better ways of doing things or responses to my 'cons,' I'd appreciate hearing from you.

Logos 5 and 4 have visual filter highlighting that can combine hundreds of search results for simultaneous display. Thankful for Logos Greek Morphology tagging in English, Greek, and Spanish resources. With verbs and things highlighted, can visually see range of verbal expression along with linguistic context:

Why is a condensed list of verses so important to you, and in what format (exported text file, internal document)?

The reason it is not so important to the Logos program is because Bible & Morph Search do not span verses. But a Syntax Search will span multiple verses and you will get results and a Passage List that reflect that e.g. Mk 5:22-23.

Logos 5 will use a Passage List as a range rather than All Passages and it will also accept a condensed verse list if you paste it into the "New reference range" box and Save it with a name in the "Range title" box (this is how I store my Words of Christ verse list).

Hi, Dave!

The reason I want a condensed list is for pasting into a Word doc.

E.g., I want to refer to all the passages in Matthew that use the lemma διδασκαλος

With just a right-click in BibleWorks, I can get all my refs and output them like this:

Mat 8:19; 9:11; 10:24, 25; 12:38; 17:24; 19:16; 22:16, 24, 36; 23:8; 26:18

There just is no easy way to do that in Logos.
