I have no timeline under Tools-Bible reference. Below "bible reference" there is only "Bible Facts" and "Program Settings". I have the latest version of Logos 5. Do i need to click on something to activate the timeline?
regards Jørgen.
Hi Jørgen - and welcome to the forums
Are you using the free Logos engine, one of the crossgrade options or a base package? If a base package which one?
As http://wiki.logos.com/Upgrade_or_Crossgrade shows, the timeline tool is available in Bronze upwards or either of the Logos 5 crossgrade options.
Graham
Hi Graham.
I have the Bible Study Library (JG) package.
Hi Jørgen
That is your Logos 4 base package
How did you upgrade to Logos 5?
Hi Jørgen I have the Bible Study Library (JG) package. That is your Logos 4 base package How did you upgrade to Logos 5? free engine one of the crossgrades? new Logos 5 base package Graham
I believe it was an automatic, free update.
The new timeline tool requires either an L5 base package or the L5 minimal cross grade.
I don't quite understand the automatic - I thought one had to do something to trigger the upgrade - but I do understand the free!
The free upgrade gets you the Logos 5 engine but doesn't include some of the features - including the timeline.
As per my post above, to get the Timeline feature you will need either Logos 5 Bronze or one of the crossgrades (these are described with prices at https://www.logos.com/product/28376/logos-5-minimal-crossgrade and https://www.logos.com/product/28494/logos-5-core-datasets
The price for the Bronze package (along with other base packages) is shown at https://www.logos.com/upgrade
http://wiki.logos.com/Upgrade_or_Crossgrade gives you a good summary of the relative features in each.
Hope that gives you the information you need to decide how you want to proceed.
I suggest you go to the upgrade page
either an L5 base package or the L5 minimal cross grade.
or the L5 core datasets
either an L5 base package or the L5 minimal cross grade. or the L5 core datasets
o.k. I will consider that. Thanks for the answers.
No problem - please feel free to post back with any questions about the use of Logos software
