I am hoping there is a better way to do this, but I don't think so - but just in case --
Like many users, I have a lot of content in Notes. (I wonder if Logos can see for server usage how much data is in user Notes, I bet it's terabytes upon terabytes!). I find myself increasingly wondering where I put a comment, as it is relevant to something I am researching today - "Where did I put that comment 'seeing beyond the demands of the flesh'"?
Problem #1 - If I do a search of Entire Library, the particular Note comes up - but if a Note is long, I have to read the whole thing to find the relevant place. Many of my notes have text I have copied and pasted in from other sources as they apply to my work.
Problem #2 is, within a Note there are many notes (that's how Logos defines it - Documents/Notes, then within that Note 'Add a note' - so I could have something I am searching for, be in a given Note many times, but clicking on that Note result in the search brings up the Note with no indication how many times it is in there, and without any highlighting. How do I know or find the 6 occurrences of the phrase or word I am looking for?
It's really impractical to rely on this level of search capability with Notes. It seems to only be good for notating next to Bible verses where a relevant note is; any other informational use of Notes is impractical or worse.
So, I am really starting to wonder if I am making a mistake using Notes for well, notes. Am I missing anything? Is there any hope that Logos will give us a search capability for Notes that is useful? Should I move all my Notes to say OneNote in a Dropbox folder?
Thank you for reading and considering.
