Can I read ESV verse-by-verse with footnote links visible?

Currently I apply the filter for "Bible Text Only" to get the ESV to show verse-by-verse instead of paragraph. But that makes the links for footnotes disappear, and I like hovering over them at times (I don't like showing them at the bottom of the bible window, as that cuts into my screen real estate).

No can do (I too like verse-by-verse but want note popups. Not 'columns'). The only solution is to put a Power Lookup panel discretely nearby. This goes back 'decades'.

Thanks for the tip about the Power Lookup. While it's not optimal, it works. Do you know if there is a way to control what displays in Power Lookup? I don't need notes from NLT there. And, I have a virtual ton of commentaries showing up.

Highlight a portion of the text, and only those footnotes in the highlighted section will show up.
