I have the latest Logos.

Reading My Upmost For His Highest for July 16, he says

"There are times, says Jesus, when God cannot lift the darkness from you, but trust Him. God will appear like an unkind friend, but He is not;--"

Any idea how I can find where Jesus Says "when God cannot lift the darkness from you,"

I am at a loss on this.

Chambers is speaking figuratively. That isn't a quote from scripture. Futhermore, the word "cannot" is probably not intended so much as "will not" or "does not."

I would agree with Alabama. You could see Studies in the Sermon on the Mount", where Chambers repeats this, where there are also links to scripture from "unkind friend," "unjust judge" etc., that might could help you discover more of the context of what he is discussing.

When I read "cannot lift the darkness from you," I am reminded of Corrie ten Boom's book the Hiding Place, where, one could say God could not lift the darkness that entered into Holland in 1940, but chose to allow Corrie and her family to go thru that darkness for reasons that are obvious when one looks at her whole life.
