PROBLEM: After Book Update, Highlights and Notes Missing

Recently, The Divine Mentor has been updated. I noticed that after this update that a tab that I had open in a layout had a peculiar message:

I searched my library and opened the book again. Here it is open.

This is all fine and good except for the fact that all of the meticulous notes and highlights are NOT in the updated book. I am now worried about how many other book updates have missing notes.

Any help in fixing this?

Was this a Vyrso to Logos edition?

It's always been a logos edition. I bought it from Logos and just checked and it is not offered on vyrso.

Given the symptoms you're reporting, it is very likely that you originally purchased the resource in Vyrso format. That edition has now been pulled and replaced with a Logos edition.

The bad news is: we have incorrectly re-locked the Vyrso edition and inconvenienced you; I apologise for this.

The good news is: nothing has been permanently lost. In fact you have gained a (duplicate) resource.

I will be re-unlocking the Vyrso editions on your account; when this happens, you should see three "new" resources download to your computer. These resources will have all your notes and highlights. You should see two entries for "The Divine Mentor" (and two other Vyrso resources) in your Library.

We do not yet have a data migration tool that can move your notes and highlights from the Vyrso edition to the Logos edition. (This is something that we are discussing internally, but given that it would be quite complicated to implement and would solve a problem that happens very infrequently, it may not be something we do soon.)

Thus, you will have to decide if you want to keep the duplicate resources, hide the Logos edition (which should be higher quality, but I haven't checked what that entails in this specific circumstance), or recreate your highlighting and hide the Vyrso edition.

Bradley - I know that other Vyrso titles were similarly treated. Is someone looking over all of those as well?

Also, a data migration tool might have benefit for personal books when they are recompiled, no?

I am not too happy that this is a possible result of migrating books from vyrso to logos. I have no idea if there are any other books that have been effected. I just so happened to have this book open looking at some highlights and notes when the book was updated. Is there a list anywhere so that I can verify other books, too? It seems to me that I would not want the migration if the notes and highlights will be missing.

Yes. I don't have any news on that right now (and will be out of the office today).
