Logos is causing my new mac to crash daily

I have spent many weeks trying to figure out why my mac mini (i7, 2012 edition) is crashing once (or more) times a day. I have wiped my hard drive and reinstalled OS X multiple times. Finally, I figured it's gonna be Logos. It is the only program I have installed. I noticed that the Logos Indexer is killing my cpu up to 390%. the mac has been locking up under logos 4 and now 5.

I need some help and fast!

What do you mean your Mac is "crashing?" The Logos app? Something else? If its the logos app, please enable and post logs. See my signature line for help.

Indexing is an intensive process that can take hours. Wonder if mac mini is hot to touch ?

thanks for the tip. I have enabled logging.

when I say it crashes, I mean that the WHOLE computer freezes. no sleep, no response at all. I have to manually turn off/on every time.

I'm aware that Indexing the first time can be intensive. But I have good processors and 12g of ram and plenty of disk space. On occasion, the mini may be warm. never hot. It did lock up with the fan on, a few times.

Since OS X is freezing, suggest making an appointment with an Apple Genius. Store locations => http://www.apple.com/retail/storelist/

Also may want to use Activity Monitor so can watch activity. Console log may have some relevant messages.

I have made 2 trips to a Mac store and spent hours on the phone with them. After a long process, they feel pretty sure its a third party app. After each wipe/reinstall the system worked w/o freezing.

Prefer Logos diagnostic file(s) being attached in a zip file. Some files can be verbose and quite difficult to read in a web browser.

From error message, wonder about network stability ? or login ? wiki => http://wiki.logos.com/Mac_Troubleshooting#Uninstalling_Logos_4_Mac includes steps to delete keypairs, which are used for authentication:

Optional: Delete keypairs in /Users/username/.config/.mono/keypairs (folder .config nominally hidden)

Finder => Go menu => Go to Folder... => ~/.config/.mono* (Go) => /Delete*/ keypairs

Open Terminal (inside Utility folder in Applications)
rm -rf ~/.config/.mono/keypairs
Quit Terminal

Wonder about using Logos offline ? wiki => http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_4_Keyboard_Shortcuts_For_Mac includes:

Sign In tip: launch Logos, then quickly press and hold command key until Sign In appears (release command key), then click “Use blank layout” and/or “Work offline”, followed by clicking Sign in

I believe I listed it as a zip file below.

It could be a network issue, but I have purchased a new router after the problems and my modem is relatively new too.

Not sure I understand the key repair idea. what does it do? is it a permanent fix? is there a downside?

I think i'll try the work offline option.

Locked up again within the last 4 hours. Logos app was closed. latest log:

Logos.log file shows normal launch followed by exit about 3 minutes later.

If Logos crashes, please compress log files before launching Logos 5 since Logos.log and Indexer.log files are overwritten when application launches.
