Good idea. We have the month and date, now the year.
It's probably like the way they do dates on the Orders page, which is that if the year is missing you can assume it's the current year. I've never liked that method though. What's wrong with putting the current year too?
Incidentally, Facebook operates this way too, for dating posts; it's kind of become an industry standard I guess. But it doesn't make sense in certain contexts (namely, columnar data).
